Mcleodganj is a hill station, which is located near the suburb of Dharamshala in Kangra district of Himachal Pradesh, India. It is situated in the lap of Dhauladhar Range, a branch of the southern outer Himalayas. This place is famous for trekkers with its most beautiful culture that is the right blend of Tibetan with a British influence. It is also popularly known as “Little Lhasa” or “Dhasa” because of its large Tibetan population. 

The place is well known, especially for Tibetans, and is a land known for its beauty, which is on top of the Dharamsala. It is well situated in the amidst majestic hills along with the beautiful and natural greenery. It has been blessed as the most attractive place within the surroundings. Dharamsala, Mcleodganj, Bhagsu Nag, and Kangra are the different towns that are located very close that is more convenient for visitors to enjoy their stay. Dal Lake

It is located in Srinagar, which is popularly called “Srinagar’s Jewel” which has spread its territories for about 1.5 Kms and also covers an area of 18 km. To be more specific, this location is situated very close to the marvelous Shankaracharya Hills and is perhaps one of the must-visit places near Mcloedganj.

Trekking places 

As already said, this is a popular place, especially for people who enjoy trekking. Here you find Hanuman Ka Tibba, one of the highest peaks that are nearly 5,638m in height. Within this location, this is the only highest trekking place that often makes the tourists feel more excited. In addition to that, there are also some other trekking places such as Triund and Lam Dal. 

Cricket Association stadium

The HPCA (Himachal Pradesh Cricket Stadium ) is such a big stadium located in Dharmashala that extends its area for about 16 acres. Even though many attractive sports are situated within Mcleodganj, you find the Tibetan Museum to be one among them. They are located near to that of the Dalai Lama temple, which is said to be a museum of ancient times. The Museum is wholly designed with an intention to represent Tibetan culture. The various paintings, artworks, crafts, and many more, often attracts tourists. 

Namgyal Monastery 

Visiting the Namgyal Monastery will make you feel happier as this is one of the best places ever. It is located near the Tsuglagkhang complex, which belongs to the 14th Dalai Lama and is one of the best tourist spots. Namgyal Monastery, also known as Namgyal Tantric College, has a significant background of Buddhists and tantric practices.
